Owner/Operator: Add Aircraft & Create Trips
Add Aircraft
Before you can create a Trip Offer to notify approved pilots or search for a pilot in the preFlite network, you must enter the aircraft in the operator profile under the aircraft tab.
Registration Number:
This is reference information that only preFlite Admins and you can see. For privacy, pilots receiving notifications will not see the registration number in the app.
Aircraft Manufacturer
Tap the field and then scroll down the list to find the manufacturer of the aircraft.
Aircraft Model
Tap the field and scroll down the list to find the model that best represents the aircraft.
To delete an aircraft from your list, swipe left and click "Delete".
We have improvements planned for the aircraft data set and the user experience for adding aircraft.
Create Trip
Select the aircraft model that will be used for this trip.
Select existing aircraft or add aircraft.
If you already have aircraft saved, you can select from this existing list. Or, click on "Add Aircraft"
to add to the list.
Select the trip's Departure Airport Code.
Select the trip's Terminating Airport Code.
Select your trip's Outbound Date.
Select your trip's End Date.
Trip Details
Search Area from Departing Airport
Enter the number of miles wide search radius from your departing airport.
Aircraft Type Rating
This is a read only field. Data is pre-populated based on the aircraft you selected.
Pilot Position
Enter the position type for this trip:
Enter PIC, SIC, or Safety Pilot
Aircraft Registration
This is pre-populated based on the registration number you entered when you added this aircraft.
Pilot Details
Minimum Overall Time in Type (Hours):
If the aircraft you selected is Typed, you will need to specify the minimum number of Typed hours you expect matching pilots to possess.
Minimum PIC Time in Type (Hours):
If the aircraft selected is Typed, you will need to specify the minimum PIC Typed time that a pilot needs to possess to match the trip.
Minimum SIC Time in Type (Hours):
If the aircraft selected is Typed, you will need to specify the minimum PIC Typed time that a pilot needs to possess to match the trip.
If the aircraft selected is not Typed, you will only need to specify overall minimum hours you require of the pilot for this trip.
Pilot Credentials
Toggling any of the credentials on will result in only those pilots with matching credentials to match to your trip.
Set your Minimum Daily Rate
This rate is not shown to the pilots and is only used to match pilots based on their minimum accepted daily rate.
Pilot minimum daily rate must be lower than your offered rate to match.
Pilot Search Results
This view provides you an idea of how many pilots may be qualified to take your trip, based on your
current trip requirements. If you feel there aren't enough pilots matching, click the "Go Back and Edit Details" button to update your trip requirements.
Hint: If you are not seeing enough matching pilots, try lowering your minimum daily rate.
To publish your trip, press the "Publish Trip" button.
If you aren't quite ready to publish this trip, click "Save as Draft" and the trip will be placed in your trips dashboard under "Drafts". You can edit it further and/or publish it from that location, at any time.
