Primary Airport Code

Enter the IATA code for your primary airport (US only). Chose an airport close to where you live, which generally should have commercial service you could use to travel to a job. Users looking for a pilot in the preFlite network will enter a search radius from a specified airport. If you’re an Approved Pilot for an operator, you will be notified of a trip request regardless of your location.

In the future, we plan to change to ICAO airport codes and also reference the airport name.

Day rate.PNG

Minimum Daily Rate

Enter your minimum required day rate. This number must be at least $400. The operator will not see your day rate until after you accept a trip request. If an operator searches the preFlite Network for pilots with a lower day rate, you will not receive a trip notification. If the operator has added you as an Approved Pilot in their profile, you will receive a trip notifications regardless of your day rate.

In the future, we plan to allow pilots to enter different day rates depending on aircraft type, PIC or SIC, and domestic or international.

Match based on location .PNG

Match Based on Current Location

Toggle this “on” if you want notifications while you are away from your primary airport. When the toggle is in the "on" position, you will match to trip requests you are qualified for based on your current GPS location.
Generally, you should have this toggle “off” to avoid battery drain on your phone, and causing unnecessary CPU time on the preFlite Network servers.

Pilot Profile:

Pilot in Command
If you are qualified to fly PIC in any aircraft that you list in your Aircraft Experience tab, set this toggle to the on position.

Second in Command
If you selected PIC above, SIC will automatically toggle on. If you don’t want to receive trip requests for SIC jobs matching your qualifications, switch this toggle back to the off position. if you prefer not accepting SIC trip requests. If you are not qualified for PIC in the aircraft listed in your Aircraft Experience tab, but are qualified to fly SIC in these aircraft, set this toggle to the on position.

Safety Pilot
If you’re willing to receive trip requests as a safety pilot alongside a PIC in a single-pilot aircraft, toggle this switch on.

International Trips
If you have international flying experience toggle this on to receive trip requests that include international operations. Depending on the trip itinerary and aircraft capabilities, you may need to possess specialized training certificates, (e.g. NAT HLA, RNP-4/RNP-10, CPDLC, etc.)
